SWEEP_BOTT is a program dedicated to the detection of bottlenecks and selective-sweeps from a coalescence-based maximum-likelihood analysis of DNA sequence polymorphism data, as published in:

Galtier N., Depaulis F., and Barton N.H. 2000. Detecting bottlenecks and selective sweeps from DNA sequence polymorphism. Genetics (submitted)

The above reference includes detailed information about the model and the theoretical basis of the inference algorithm, which is an implementation of Griffith and Tavare's (1994 a, b) approach.

Sweep_bott is written in ANSI C. Click below to download the files sweep_bott.c, simplex_sb.c, readme and sweep_bott.help

Instructions for installation and compilation are in the readme file.
